§1
Say to My Sun, our lord:
Thusly Mr. Mariya and Mr. Ḫapiri, your servants:

§2

What My Sun, my lord, commanded Mr. Ḫapiri and I in the following way: "Take the birds taken in on this journey."

§3
So they gathered together the birds for us in a satisfactory way.

§4
Neither a lion, a panther, a sarmiya-animal, or a kurala-animal were taken for us.

§5
Because you, My Sun, our lord, did not tell us from either the city of Tiwaliyaza or Palḫišna:

§6
My Sun, our lord, promptly write back to us on which road we will seek these birds.

§7
We do [not] know the kurala-animal. We will seek [it]. Shall we seek it [in] the forest? Write back to us!

§8
Behind the city of Palḫišna the fever is severe. There is a continual dying.

§9
For the sake of the prince I observed the birds-of-agitation?, and the birds were favorable.
